AUSTIN, Texas –The Central Texas Paranormal Conference will be held Oct. 6th & 7th, 2012 in Austin. This is the second year for the conference and will include speakers from the paranormal field, unique vendors, and paranormal investigations or ‘ghost hunts.’ The conference, also known as CTPARACON, will be held at the Ben Hur Shrine Auditorium, which is located off Mopac and Anderson Lane. The conference will feature speakers from well-known paranormal media such as; Kris Williams and Britt Griffith from the Syfy Channel’s, “Ghost Hunters” and “Ghost Hunters International”, Jeff Belanger, Brad and Barry Kling, the Booth Brothers, and many more. |
The conference will take place Saturday, Oct. 6th from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 7th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a paranormal investigation each evening. Tickets can be purchased via the conference website: http://ctparacon.com. The event is hosted by Texas Paranormal Events, LLC. Cathie Cunningham, one of the co-founders is especially excited about this year’s location. “The Ben Hur Shrine Auditorium is a fantastic facility for the conference as it used to be a funeral home. The vendor room was the old crematorium so our evening investigations and séances should be exciting,” Cunningham said. Vendors for the event range from psychics to jewelry designers. Cunningham believes there is something for everyone at the CTPARACON. “Besides meeting paranormal celebrities, ticket holders can also get a psychic reading, have your aura photo taken, meet local paranormal investigators, purchase paranormal equipment, books, jewelry and much more,” Cunningham said. The paranormal investigations will be held after the conference ends each evening. The VIP’s will get to investigate an exclusive destination not open to public investigations, Oct. 6th from 8PM to 10PM and will be accompanied by Kris Williams and Britt Griffith. The rest of the ticket holders will have the opportunity to investigate and attend a séance at the Ben Hur Shrine Auditorium with Jeff Belanger on Oct. 6th from 8PM to 11PM and will be led by Stephenie Rockwell and Cathie Cunningham, members of the Ghost Girls of Austin. Séances will be led by Star Channeling’s Psychic/Medium, Jamie Maihan. |
Jackie Milligan, co-founder of Texas Paranormal Events, LLC is looking forward to a special investigation being held on Sunday, Oct. 7th from 8PM to 12AM at the Blanco County Courthouse.
